Geoffrey is a student at Cornell University, currently completing his PhD in Engineering (Systems). His research interests are broadly in the application of computational and mathematical tools to understand and help societal systems. In particular, his research focus is on building artificial intelligence systems, particularly natural language processing systems, and studying information diffusion on social networks. He also also had prior research experience in policy, economics (in particular, game theory and econometrics) and climate change. Most recently, he graduated from Yale University with an MA in Statistics and an MA in Operations Research. He graduated from Yale-NUS College in 2019 with a BS in Mathematical, Computational and Statistical Sciences and has had work experiences at NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab and Locus Analytics, an economics think tank based in New York City. Geoffrey is also a recipient of the prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship, which recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students who have demonstrated the potential to be high achieving scientists and engineers, early in their careers.
