About Elizabeth

Dr. Brenda is an Associate Professor of Chemistry and Physics at Brown University. She earned degrees in Chemical Physics and Applied Mathematics from Brown, completed an M.Phil. in Computational Chemistry at the University of Cambridge as a Churchill Scholar, and received her Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from Columbia University. Her honors include the Fulbright Scholarship, Sloan Research Fellowship, and the Camille Dreyfus and Cottrell Teacher-Scholar Awards. She was also named to Popular Science’s Brilliant 10 and Chemical & Engineering News’s Talented 12.

About Alex

Matthew C., is a biomedical engineering student at Vanderbilt University and an award-winning science fair researcher. His work in virtual reality–based mental health therapeutics earned a 3rd Place Grand Award at ISEF, as well as recognition from the American Psychological Association and the International Genius Olympiad. He now mentors students through ScienceFair, helping them strengthen their research and compete at a high level.
