Jonas is a PhD student in the Applied Mathematics program at Yale University. He graduated with a BA in Applied Mathematics from UC Berkeley. Some of his main academic interests include scientific computing, many subfields of dynamics and mechanics (esp. fluids and nonlinear dynamics), PDEs, and inverse problems. Outside of these, some of his less specialized interests include music, hiking, linguistics, food, history, and finance. He is very passionate about pedagogy, STEM outreach, and issues in education.
