Dr. Siddharth Krishnan is former Researcher from Virginia Tech and currently a CS faculty member at UNC Charlotte with over a decade of research experience in AI, machine learning, and data analytics. He directs the Scalable Machine Research Lab, teaches AI and ML at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He holds a PhD from Virginia Tech. With 25+ publications and multiple Best Paper Awards, he also serves as the co-founder and Principal AI Scientist at SamvidAI, a startup focused on autonomous decision-making systems for enterprises.
Laila holds an AB in Social Studies with an emphasis on post-colonial theory and history from Harvard University, and an MM from the New England Conservatory in Jazz Voice. While in college, she held leadership roles on the Undergraduate Council, the Arts & Humanities Student Board, and a variety of activist organizations, including the Harvard Graduate Student Union.
