Irma Encarnación is a Former Associate Director of Admissions at Dartmouth College and Barnard College, with 15 years of experience evaluating thousands of applications at top U.S. universities. She started her career guiding students through the application process and later applied a strengths-based approach to admissions work. Irma is passionate about creating opportunities for the next generation of learners. She has led initiatives in alumni engagement, multicultural recruitment, communications, event planning, and DEI efforts. Most recently, as part of Spencer Stuart’s Education and Social Impact practice, she worked to recruit leaders in education reform, nonprofits, and higher education.

Pursued A-Levels at a UK boarding school and completed a Bachelor’s in Psychology at a top 25 UK university, University of East Anglia. Lam has supported over 60 students, with impressive admissions results to top US & UK universities such as Cambridge, UPenn, Berkeley, UCLA, Carnegie Mellon, LSE, Imperial, and more!
