Sonja holds a bachelor’s degree in Middle Eastern and Asian Studies from Barnard College and a master’s degree in International Educational Development from the University of Pennsylvania.

As the Operations Lead at Indigo Research, Mahek ensures the seamless running of day-to-day operations and manages a team of over 170 mentors. With a background in management consulting, CSR, and research, Mahek brings a wealth of experience to her role, having conducted fieldwork and primary data collection in Pakistan for her Master's dissertation at the University of Birmingham, where she studied youth voting behavior.

Originally from England, George Baxter has 6 years of experience in global admissions strategy, guiding hundreds to top universities like Harvard, Yale, and Princeton. A Harvard graduate in Sociology with a secondary field in African American Studies, George's diverse academic journey included involvement in musicals, orchestras, and choirs. After earning his M.Sc. in Public Policy from University College London (UCL) with Dean’s List honors, he returned to education. Since 2016, George has crafted personalized admissions strategies, dedicated to helping each student achieve their college dreams.

Ceyhun Elgin is primarily affiliated with Columbia University as a lecturer in discipline but also works as a Professor of Economics at Bogazici University in Turkey. He got his BA in economics from Bogazici University and then subsequently obtained his Ph.D. in economics at the University of Minnesota in 2010. His research interests are in applied macroeconomics, economic growth, development economics, and political economics with a particular emphasis on the economics of the informal sector. Previously, Dr. Elgin also had visiting positions at Boston University, Tilburg University, NYU, IMF, and the World Bank.
