Albert Basson

Professor of Neuroscience and Epigenetics at the University of Exeter
Albert is Professor of Neuroscience and Epigenetics at the University of Exeter in the UK. Previously he was Professor of Developmental Neurobiology at King's College London where he taught epigenetics and led a research laboratory. His research group aims to understand a range of neurodevelopment disorders associated with chromatin dysregulation. He holds a BSc and MSc in Biochemistry (University of Pretoria) and a PhD in Immunology (University of Cambridge). He had extensive post-doctoral research experience in Immunology, Developmental Genetics and Neurobiology before starting his independent research laboratory in 2006.
